A. Because future generations always can shoulder the debt burden

B. Because an internal national debt does not affect economic growth

C. Because the government can collect money from its own citizens anytime

D. Because paying internal debt is a matter of income redistribution, so overall purchasing power in the economy doesn’t change

Answer: Good luck with that. Setting aside that I disagree with the question - it's just not AS large a concern, I can share some thoughts but can't give you an answer. Don't think it's A - people obviously don't have an unlimited ability to shoulder debt. Don't think it's C because they also can't handle unlimited taxes. My first thought was B, but it seems to me both B and D are saying the same thing in different (and in the case of D, convoluted) ways. Both seem to me to be saying that when the government borrows money from you, it just means that they are spending/investing it, and not you, but the economic effect is still the same. If pressed, I'd go with D, but I think the question is horribly written.
