Credit Card Debt Help Reviews

Question: Is going bankrupt safe @ 22? I’ve heard mixed reviews.?

I’m about 25k in debt. mostly old credit cards that have been turned over to collections already. Any better ideas would really help! Thanks…

Answer: Is going bankrupt safe?

It stays on and affects your credit record for 7 years
It stays on your life record forever. In a case that you where to apply for a Federal job (and some others) they will ask if you EVER declared bankruptcy. If you lie you lose. If the reason was out of your control, say example medical expenses for a family member, then it would not be held against you. If it is to bail on debt, it will be held against you in a job interview.

Best bet is to try to work out a payment plan. If you went to college the debt would most likey be 3 times higher the you have. Of course the payment rate would be different.

Avoid declaring Bankruptcy unless there is no other choice.

Credit Card Debt Help Government

Credit Card Debt Help Government
Question: How would this work…paying off everyones credit card debt, would help the economy immediately?

Have the government pay off the 2.5 Trillion in credit card debt US consumers have, and any purchase within the next 6 months is guaranteed at 2.9% interest. This kills two birds with one stone. The banks get their money and the people get a new lease on life and the economy will get a HUGE surge in purchases.
Yeh, this will work. I double checked all my figures.
at that 2.9% rate it would max out at 1250 that is all you get. Now if you are a responsible citizen and didn’t need the help that 2.9% would be good for 18 months with a 5k cap.
so, you would rather spend 1.25 Trillion and pump that into the stock market instead.

Answer: Sounds good to me. I could live with that. I mean, the government spends $12 Billion a month in Iraq. Why can’t they stop spending money on other countries and do something for US for a change?

We live close to Blue Ridge. APR on credit cards are 23%. We are looking for a credit consolidation company that will help us lower APR. Thanks.

Answer: Contact Consumer Credit Counseling Services at 1-800-388-2227 they are the largest and oldest consumer credit counseling service in the nation and will work with your creditors to lower your interest rates and monthly payments and they are non-profit.

I used them several years ago and was debt free in 36-months.

While you are in their program your accounts will read as "Included in credit counseling" after you finish this notation will be removed. This will not affect your score but it will affect your ability to get more credit.

At the end of the program your score will be much better due to being out of debt and having a great payment history.

About the Author

Bob Donnelly, a third generation native New Yorker, connects much of his personal and professional accomplishments to his early roots– having grown up in “The Big City.” Born and raised as one of seven children in a struggling family, The Donnelly’s lived in the “Yorkville” section of Manhattan in a cramped, (walk-up), tenement apartment house. Living directly across the street and also from a struggling family, was Kit Culkin, one of Bob’s earliest childhood friends. While most people immediately associate Kit with his famous son, MacKauley Culkin, –Hollywood’s ” Home Alone Kid,” Bob has a much different connection with Kit.To Bob, he was an early role model–he was several years older and a true older- brother type. In fact, in his own family, he was the eldest of his siblings and played a parent-like role while he studied unrelentingly in his personal pursuit to achieve Hollywood fame. Kit radiated a positive and “can do” attitude to others around him and served as a true early example of– “Tough Individualism.” Back in the day, the struggle was all about overcoming adversities such as poverty, limited job opportunities, and in general–the prospect of an uncertain future. Many of these issues– as perplexing as they seemed, were actually dealt with at the kitchen table-and in a family consensus fashion. Out of shear necessity, most folks maintained a -”Just keep it simple,” attitude. For example, if you needed food/you needed to seek work, if you had a loose tooth/you may have looked for a piece of string and the nearest doorknob, and if you needed a new outfit/you looked in your sibling’s closet. The times called for a great deal of resourcefulness and self-sufficiency, to say the least. Remaining ever cognizant of these fundamental lessons in self preservation, Bob would later recoil this basic native intelligence by associative reasoning, into a more refined problem solving “Model,” later to be used in his entrepreneurial endeavors. Bob has a profound pass
