Ok, So I have a few debts..
One was for a Gym membership where they continued to try to debit my account after I had asked them to cancel it. So now they want to charge me for 3 months of Gym memberships and fees.
One is for a cancellation of my home phone before the contract ended.

I am going to pay them, but I cant pay a lot, being that I am supporting my husband at the moment.. No matter what I say though, the amount I suggest is never enough..they always demand payment immediately and threaten legal action.

Will they really take me to court?

Answer: they can take you to court but that will cost them money and the judge will allow a payment plan that you can afford and take into account your current situation. my suggestion is just start paying what you can afford, something is always better then nothing, and you might be suprised if they see you paying it off regularly with a reasonable amount they may accept your payments.
