Question: uk only! incapacity and council tax!!?

hiya just wondering if anyone has any info on paying council tax while on full incapacity? im really confused because ive been paying full council tax while on incapacity for over a year now and ive heard a few ppl say that i should only be paying my partners share? as I dont need to pay mine? im not on council tax benefit as ive had trouble with them in the past ( plus the money they gave me towards council tax wasnt enough 2 keep a dog alive) anyone have any info on weither I should be paying my share while on my benefit would b so helpful, im in alot of debt from a year ago when my life fell apart so im paying alot on top of my monthly rate :( thanx :)




Answer: If you are not working and on benefits and you live alone then you do not pay council tax. If you share a house with someone who works then the council tax is less 25%. If nobody in the house works, again no council tax should be paid.
