Debt Relief Center Inc

Question: using debt relief center inc. out of maryland. I’ve paid about 1800.00 so far and haven’t seen any results why?

Has anyone had good results from this company?

Answer: Is that the one in Owings Mill, MD?

Personally, I don’t trust a company that was founded in 2008, and has NO rating at all on BBB. On the other hand, the two complaints BBB received about them have been marked as “resolved”.

Question: Have you gotten something in the mail called a “National Debt Stimulus Notification”?

It is from some LLC called “National Financial Assistance Center”. And, it is extremely bogus. It looked pretty official but I am a natural skeptic and was surprised to see that no one mentioned anything online about the not-so-upfront company.

I just wanted to make sure something about how dishonest the company is would come up if one were to search for it online.

At least they could’ve gotten the National Debt RELIEF Stimulus name right…geez!

BEWARE – these are the times that people will try to take advantage of the vulnerable. Keep your head up and alert, good luck and God bless.

Answer: Yes indeed, it is such a sad fact that a lot of people do fall for these scams, even though the scams are poorly done. Just shows you how naive folks can be, or how desperate that they would fall for poorly designed scams.

Very sad. I feel sorry for these people, but they really have themselves to blame if they don’t do their research.

Debt Stress Relief

Question: We’re in huge debt, should we start over?

We’re at a point of bailing out and starting over because of our financial situation, but not sure if it will cause more stress down the road. We started a trucking business 2 yrs ago that went under and left us with $100k in personal credit card debt. Our mortgage is $2900 and going up to $3500 in 2 yrs.. We owe more than the house is worth so are thinking of doing a short sale or deed in lieu of forclosure and rent a cheaper place until the CC debt is paid off. I have thought of doing a debt relief program, but not decided because of the bad things I read about it. My credit is still high because I pay everything on time, but not able to pay much more than the minimum so not getting anywhere. I feel like I’m throwing money away on this house and would like to get out of it and have some breathing room to start over. Has anyone actually done this and how has it effected you? Do you think it is worth ruining great credit to be able to have a life again?
Thanks for any advice

Answer: I have one of my friend had to file for bankrupt for the amount of $419k in 05 due to major business lost.
just last week he closed deal to buy a new home.
with 10% down payment.

Christian Debt Relief Programs

Question: Should a Christian use a debt relief agency?

I would like to do the “Dave Ramsey” method to snowball my debt, but I don’t have enough money to start. What are the negatives for looking into a debt relief program? If any?

Answer: Keep in mind that any credit counseling service that does nothing but teach you how to deal with debt isn’t teaching you anything that you can’t learn for yourself for free. Do some researach. Go to Ripoffreport.com and do some google searches. Find out what others have to say about the debt relief program/s you are considering. Then you can feel comfortable knowing you are making the best possible decision.

And I personally don’t see anything wrong with a Christian using a debt relief agency. You are doing your best to help yourself while doing the right thing. I think there is a lot to be said for that. Best of luck.
